臺灣著名的合唱教育團體:臺北華新兒童合唱團,成立於1988年,由華新建設公司與臺北縣立文化局共同合作創設,成立之初秉持著企業回饋社會、提升在地文化、推廣兒童合唱教育的理念,多年來不僅是新北市政府文化局傑出演藝團隊,也是國內少數獲得政府單位支持之兒童合唱團。
成團至今超過三十五年,臺北華新兒童合唱團已具備完善的教學分級制度,年齡層跨足學齡前(中班)至國中,為臺灣著名的合唱教育團體。華新每年於國家音樂廳、臺北市中山堂、新北市藝文中心舉辦公演,以合唱結合各類型表演藝術形式,為合唱演出注入新風貌外,演唱足跡更深入歐、亞、美、澳各地二十餘國。如:2001獲邀於希臘雅典Preveza第十九屆國際合唱節中演出、2004年於德國布萊梅所舉辦之第三屆「國際奧林匹克合唱大賽」中,獲得伴奏民謠組金牌,皆深獲各界好評。更曾發行三張專輯,並入圍金曲獎最佳兒童樂曲唱片獎。
臺北華新兒童合唱團亦是藝文界各方單位愛用之邀約對象,如受國家交響樂團NSO於國家音樂廳演出〈馬勒第3號交響曲〉、〈馬勒第8號交響曲〉、許常惠作品〈獅頭山的孩子〉音樂劇進行跨界演出;2019年受臺北市立交響樂團TSO邀請,演出〈馬勒第8號交響曲〉、2021年再度受臺北市立交響樂團TSO邀請,與首席指揮殷巴爾(Eliahu Inbal)共同演出〈馬勒第3號交響曲〉;2022年更受邀參加「藝界合作計劃一流星歲月.曾仲影」子計劃《樂影交輝》音樂會,擔任兒童合唱團隊。
除此之外,臺北華新兒童合唱團更善盡傳遞文化、關懷社會的角色,曾於瓜地馬拉共和國總統訪華行程中受邀演出、應伊甸社會福利基金會之邀,參與慈善募款音樂會演出、至臺灣各地安養院和醫院進行傳愛演出、與臺灣北部地區國小進行音樂交流等等。
結合了教育功能與藝術價值的臺北華新兒童合唱團,在兒童合唱教育的工作上不斷精益求精,在演出曲目上,也力求突破,除了挑戰無伴奏的兒童合唱作品,也嘗試將臺灣各種語言的兒童合唱創作融合,成為近年來臺灣兒童合唱表演藝術的一大突破

Taipei HuaShin Children’s Chorus
Winner of the Gold Medal in the 3rd International Olympic Choral Competition
Taipei HuaShin Children's Choir, a renowned choral education group in Taiwan, was established in 1988 through a collaboration between HuaShin Construction Company and Taipei County Cultural Bureau. Since its inception, it has upheld the ideals of corporate social responsibility, cultural enrichment, and the promotion of children's choral education. Over the years, it has not only been recognized as an outstanding performing arts group by the New Taipei City Government's Cultural Bureau but also one of the few children's choirs in Taiwan to receive support from government agencies.
With over thirty-five years of history, Taipei HuaShin Children's Choir has developed a comprehensive teaching system catering to children from pre-school age (kindergarten) to junior high school. It is widely regarded as one of Taiwan's leading choral education groups. The choir holds annual performances at venues such as the National Concert Hall, Taipei Zhongshan Hall, and New Taipei City Arts Center, combining choral singing with various forms of performing arts to inject new vitality into choral performances. Its performances have reached over twenty countries across Europe, Asia, America, and Australia. Notably, the choir won the gold medal in the accompanied folk song category at the 3rd International Olympic Choral Competition held in Bremen, Germany, in 2004, and received acclaim from various quarters. Additionally, the choir has released three albums and was nominated for the Golden Melody Award for Best Children's Album.
Taipei HuaShin Children's Choir is also a sought-after partner in the arts community. It has collaborated with the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) in performances of Mahler's Symphony No. 3 and Symphony No. 8 at the National Concert Hall, as well as in the musical "Children of Shitoushan" by Hsu Chang-hui; it performed Mahler's Symphony No. 8 again in 2019 and collaborated with chief conductor Eliahu Inbal in Mahler's Symphony No. 3 in 2021, both with the Taipei Symphony Orchestra (TSO).
Combining educational functions with artistic value, Taipei HuaShin Children's Choir continuously strives for excellence in children's choral education and seeks to push boundaries in its performance repertoire. In addition to tackling unaccompanied children's choral works, it also endeavors to integrate choral compositions in various languages spoken in Taiwan, making significant breakthroughs in Taiwan's children's choral performing arts in recent years.
